Which gaskets go on first...the ones that mate the heads or the ones that mate the block or it doesn't matter?

heads.. then block .... put a dab of RTV on the seam between the two..... dont use the cheap kit with cork front and rear gakets ... get the nice rubber ones that have a metal rib in it ...

Make sure you use a good amount of RTV on the block gaskets, because if you don't you'll end up like me and have the rear gaskets seep oil, and have to do it all over again.
It sucked, espesially when you work every day.
