Message: Anyone have one?
I was thinking about getting one. Free up a few HP and possible help keep the truck a little cooler sitting at the light.
I need some recommendations.
Also, how much noise do they make?
Thanks

Message: does someone make those for continous duty? i could be wrong but, i was under the impression they were more for track use than for a daily driver.

Message: I saw the electric water pump installed in a car on "Horse Power" TV show, that was going to be a daily driver. I to was wondering about this.

Message: I have no reason to believe that it isn't continuous duty. The point of them is to keep things cool at idle, or low speed.
I have only been able to find one thus far that is listed for the '97 5.2. Its made by CSR Performance.
Another question that I would have is about the belt. Removing the water pump would substantially reduce the belt wrap around the drive pully. That shouldn't be a problem with the AC, alternator and PS pump, but I would be concerned that it wouldn't have enough grip to run the supercharger.
