Message: Is anyone using a Hughes Engines cam? if so do you like it? Which one do you have? I am considering a Hughes as KRC is more expensive.

Message: I have a 390 stroker motor with Edelbrock RPM heads, air-gap intake and 750 mighty demon carb. I was running the RPM cam 234/244 dur @ .050 I switched to the Hughes 237/242 dur @ .050 cam, technically a larger cam. The Hughes cam idles better, seem to have more power and torque in the lower rpm range and also seems to have more top end power. This is a flat tappet cam, not a roller but I would expect similar results with the rollers. My local track opens this weekend so hopefully in a few weeks I will have a new best et to prove my claims.

Message: I have one in my 97 3.9. I dont recall the # or size, I didnt go too radical with it. I am very impressed with it even now. It has been in about 8 months. It makes the engine wake up. I definately recommend Hughes.
