My 01 4.7, manual tranny dak was ordered with the 3.55's

I recently went to 3.92's.

I was already making over 350 ft/lbs at the crank.
It helped some. Wraps it out a little quicker.

I can barely get 25mph in 1st, near redline, with the stock 16in tires and wheels, and the 5 speed manual.

I think it took about 1-2 mph off @ 70mph- 5th gear. @70, tach went from 2100 to 2400rpm.

Imagine how low 1st would be with 4.56 gears!

LOL! With me using that NV3500 in my Duster I figure I'm not going to go any LOWER than approx 3.20's with the small tires it will have.
1st gear should be low enough as it is!

With my auto in my Dak I love the 4.56's. I can about peg 40MPH in 1st still.

Graph,

I can get 45mph, in SECOND gear, near 5 grand!

Toolfan,

I have an 01, QUAD cab, 2 wd, with Trailer towing pack, tire and handling pack, and a cab high leer sheel over the bed. I weighed it at 4400lbs.
Although I've put some thought into my mods, etc., I don't run the 1/4 in it. Not sure of the 60ft time. I've used a friends G tech a few times with the 3.55's, but don't remember the 60ft time. My best g tech w/ the 3.55's, was 15.6secs.

Todd
