Subject: FUEL REGULATOR IP: Logged
Message: I can not figure out how to hook up my aftermarket fuel regulator. It has two inlets and one outlet. It is just like the A1000 Aeromotive. I have the factory fuel rails, and a inline fuel pump with no return line. From what I was told the return line goes to the tank to return the fuel. So how would I hook this regualtor up. The line coming from the fuel tank, going to the back of the inline pump. At the back of the inline pump it has a T connector. Off of the T a line runs up to the regulator. The other line coming off of the T runs into the back of the pump. Then in front of the pump you have another line which is the Hi-press line. This line also has a T connector. A line comes off of this T an goes to the fuel rail. The other line that comes off of that T goes to the regulator. What do I have to do to regulate fuel to the rail???? I am confused, PLEASE HELP.
I was told by a friend to cap off both of the T connectors and run the hi-press line from the inline pump to one of the inlets on the regulator. Then cap off the other inlet and run the return line from the regulator directly to the fuel rail. Will this idea work, or should I even try it. THANKS
