Message: Yes you will have to give up the spare for the duals. The single swept or sport truck (stock mounting) you don't

Message: When I did my duals, I left my spare installed.
I ran my pipe out at an angle on the drivers side to match the stock one on the passenger side. They don't go straight out back. Especially after I was reminded that it would be a BAD idea when you tow a trailer as the sound reverbs off of the trailer. :)

Message: I got Gibson duals on my 2000 4.7 4x4 with the 31x10.5-15 spare. I loosened the spare and centered it between the pipes then cranked it up tight. The gap is close (1/4") but it has worked for 2+ years now

Message: Be bold. Be daring. Run yer pipes thru the center of yer spare tire.
