Message: OK,
I have a stock 1999 4x4 5.2L 318 Dakota Club Cab with 3.92 gears and a manual transmission. I have blown the plenum gasket twice, first time at 2500mi?. This time, without warrantee, I'm going with the M1 2 bbl MPI w/o egr, if I have to pay to remove the beer barrell.
With my set up, (especially 3.92's and the control of a manual) what will happen to my low end torque? I occasionally pull a small, but rather heavy, 17' ski boat, what about that? Is this smart for a daily driver?
Help?

Message: If that is your only mod, I wouldn't do it. If you want to go to 4.10 gears and install a cam or 1.7's then it might be ok on the low end.
There is no reason you shouldn't be able to the stock plenum to seal. They have improved the gasket in the last couple of years. You could also pick up some "Right Stuff" and reinstall it without a gasket.
