Message: Have a pinging in the engine , timing noise , does this mean the chain is toast ? Could this be the problem with the truck bucking , bad/t-chain? Sure would explain lots . Never did a t-chain on a 318 , is the much to it ? Whats the approximate time for a back-yard mechanic , with decent skill , to do this . I can do a chevy start to finish in about 5 hrs and have a shop to work with . Thanks guys
