Subject: Me vs. Tacoma TRD offroad IP: Logged
Message: I was driving home from a Sharks hockey game last night and was on 101 south and all the sudden i got passed by an '05 TRD offraod. My bro and his buddy in my truck were giving me a hard time about it so i caught up to him and he sped up so i passed him fast. He then passes me going faster. we jostled like this for a while and then settled down to about 70 right next to each other and signalled and hammered down and he never had a chance. I was pulling away from the start till about 100 mph and then he gave up about 100 feet back or so. I did this in my 97 dakota with 3 friends (about 600 pounds) 2wd, fiberglass fenders, 3 inch lift, K&N FIPK2, edelbrock headers, dumped super 40, 3.55's, 168k miles

Message: Hah! Not bad...those things are pretty quick, but still a V6.
I was out on the highway a few weeks ago and had a 99 or 00 Mustang GT come up on me (I was playing around with my new SuperChips tuning) and rev a few times. 3 honks and we were off... I stayed right with him till we hit traffic, ran from 60 to 100 or so. I'm sure he would have started pulling on me hard if we kept going.
I love deflating my co-workers pride when I spank his 04 HEMI QC. He has AWD, 3.92's and a big ego that is fun to play with. :)

Message: Yeah, it is amazing what you can do with these trucks with just a few small add-ons. I got my add-ons to help with my gas mileage *cough cough*... but I can't keep my foot off the gas now. ;)
Oh, by the way caulk04, where did you get that awesome American Ram head sticker on the back of your rear window? That is great! I'd like to find one like that or maybe something a little bit smaller to go on my sliding rear window.

Message: Ya those 5.3's are pretty good engines, much better than the gas hogging 6.0 my uncle used to have until he wisened up and got a duramax.

Message: I got that locally at a vinyl shop.
Shoot me an email at caulk_j@yahoo.com and I'll stop to ask him if he can make any more.
They aren't printed, it is 3 layers of vinyl. Only cost around $25 I think...
