superchips doesn't list a unit for the '04 Dak 4.7. Has anyone bitten the bullet and tried a tuner for an '03?

yes i have and it does make a difference. i believe i got mine from socal speedshop for $289(e-bay deal which gave me a $110 rebate)

So, an '03 Dakota Superchips turner will work on an '04? I wrote to Superchips last spring, and they said that they didn't offer one for the '04, but would at the end of summer. Well summer has come and gone, but still no tuner for the '04 yet. If the unit for the '03 would work, I wonder why they wouldn't just tell me that? I take it you haven't noticed any problems using the '03 tuner on the '04?
Or am I just misunderstanding what you are saying?

i missunderstood the question now that i read it again. superchips is notorious for delay in new products.they tell you one thing and you still have to wait. sorry about the miscommunication.

In that case with his 2003, he has. I have. Others have. But you meant has anyone tried a 2003 ON a 2004. Oops.
Just wait and I am SURE it will come out.
Pretty good bang for the buck especially on the auto tranny shifting part. Which only the 4.7 guys benefit from :)
