Um mm no. why you think you need to change your cam just because your getting a true 68MM TB? all your doing is allowing more air flow in.

the free flow exhaust will help out with your ported TB. the Superchip will also enhance the TB and exhaust mods. you can do the cam swap. alot of people gets the jeep 4.7 HO cams its a cheap mod I think you can pick a set up for like $250. alot cheaper than buying the KRC cams that can be over $500 to $700. alot of people are happy with the mopar ones and dont go no bigger. its a direct swap no mods needed. just install and go =-). theres one set I think the KRC 209 cams you need to change the springs or something. I dont know for sure.

that I cant tell you. you will need to find a person that dynoed it before and after the install. I hear anything form 15 to 30 more HP and tourqe is something like 15 more. I really dont know just going by what people told me. but with your TB and a free flow exhaust, HO cams, and the superchip pprogrammer it will really wake up your truck. you might even look in to haveing a custom flash done on your PCM and its alot better than the superchip programmer. as they can talor it to what you have done to your truck and what you might do in the future.

Have your TB bore to a true 68mm. Runs about $125.

Do the TB first, then the SuperChips followed by the exhaust of your choice. The exhaust will do the least for your performance.

i was thinking of getting one(TB) from fastman.com. i know when you are done you have to unplug the battery cables to reset the computer.
When i got bigger tires and got the bigger gear in the rear end i had dodge reflash the pcm to correspond w/ the tires and rear gear. when i reset the computer will it keep the newer settings or will i have to reflash agian?

Thanks again!

"Flashing" and resetting are two different things. The flash is your basic program which learns the various engine settings like idle. Resetting the program only means that it has to relearn those settings.

You shouldn't have needed to reflash for a gear change and unless you make a drastic change in tire height reflashing is not necessary either. Often times dealer reflashing ruins performance. A SuperChips would have taken care of your tire height problem.

As for the tb install I have never had to reset the pcm. If the idle is fast or slow it should relearn the correct setting after two or three starts at the most. I usually get it on the first start and within a minute or two.

So you won't have to reflash; but you'd see a nice gain with more spark advance from a custom flash (not dealer) or something like superchips. Swapping to HO cams is reputed to give most of the torque gain of the whole HO package. I felt similar gains from both mods, didn't dyno.
