Subject: Twin Turbos??? IP: Logged
Message: I am looking to get two Garrett T3 turbos from 1985-1988 dodge cars in a junk yard. I was wondering what my exhaust would sound like. I have a nice deep rumble now but I would really like to turbo my V6. Also anymore infor you have for me about turboing would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Message: There are a lot obstacles in your path. None of them insurmountable, but may be more expensive or more hassle than you care to undertake.
First, is local smog regs. Check them first before makeing changes.
Second is fuel and spark control. There's no way your stock computer is going to manage the additional air, fuel, and spark requirements. The best (and most expensive) option would be to use a complete aftermarket system. But you can probably have a custom chip burned for a heck of a lot less.
Finally, the actual plumbing of twin turbos. Never seen a kit for the dodge. So you'll have to custom fab everything. Some componets are readily available, like intercoolers. But the rest is up to you.
Finally, is you engine capable of handeling 9psi? It should be in good shape, with not too many miles on it. Most importantly, you need a good ring seal and good valve seal.
But, once you get past all that, it will be one screamin machine. It will makes gobs of torque when you need it, but keep the boost low when you don't. You will most likely get better fuel mileage on a steady cruise.
