Ok, the subject says it all. I have an extra $1000+/-$200 for some more go-fast goodies. Here's what i got so far:
1998 RC 5.2 5spd. 3.92 limited slip
1.7RR
50mmTB
M1 Intake
Cold Air intake
Superchips
flowmaster muffler
180 tstat
brass cap rotor
I don't use the truck to hual and I need to pass ca emission (no need to worry about visual inspection). I was thinking heads and/or cam but not sure if I can do both for that amount and not sure if it is worth it to do them seperately. Help a brotha out ... I got a buddy who just bought a 350Z and I need to go faster......

Exhaust system...
Either go with a true dual that has an x-pipe in it or buy/have built a good y-pipe to replace the restrictive stocker and go with a nice single exhaust.
If going duals, I'd go 2 1/4 or maybe 2 1/2 all the way back (whatever tips you want. Single, I'd do 3".
As for a cam, I don't have a clue on your app since I'm a 4.7 guy :)
I'm guessing you are 2wd so gears would be pretty cheap for you to do...but then again I don't know how the 5.2 responds to gears. I know the 4.7 loves them.

The best thing you could buy is desk top dyno for your computor. This program will let you build a motor on your computor and dyno test it to see what kind of power you'll get, all before you do a thing in the real world. The more expensive one (75 $) will also let you put in how much power your looking for and it will tell you what you need to get it. That way you know just what to do to make the most of the motor with your money. Takes out all the guesswork. Have fun, and let us know when you smoke that Z car.

good way to hijack GreenDak's thread guys. GreenDak, you should go with cam and or exhaust system. as for the cam, contact hughesengines.com for that. since you have the 1.7 rollers, you might be limited to the cam that you choose because of the rockers. if you had the 1.6 rollers, i dont think that you would have any problems with any cam.

Take a page from the "Book of Ricers." If you wanna go fast, you gotta have GO FAST STICKERS on your truck. You know, all the ricers have a NIN sticker and they go fast (haha!). Stickers are the way to go. The more stickers, the faster you go. Well, the ricers think it works. LOL!
Sorry, I know the second "N" in NIN goes backwards, but I couldn't do it on here.
What is it about ricers and Nine Inch Nails? I don't get it?

If you go with the exhaust, spend the extra on stainless. Mine rusted out in a 1.5 yrs.( not stainless)
