Message: My buddy ripped one out of a 60's Olds or Buick way back when,,, 20 years or so ago. Came out one of those huge tuna boat cars. Can't remember if it was like a Chevy 350 or if was a wierd off shoot GM engine, thinking wierd GM off shoot engine.

Message: Buick used the name "Wildcat" in much the same way Dodge uses the name "Magnum." It was applied to a series of cars and also to many of its engines.

Message: back in the 60's buick was using their engines torque output as a designation. i.e. "wildcat" 375 was a 340cu.in. motor w/375ftlbs of torque. buick engines are well known for their torque.

Message: Back in the 60's or so my brother-in-law bought a Buick Wildcat or at least it had the wildcat engine > I just don't recall the details but the point is, there was nothing special about the engine or the car for that matter But that's my opinion only >
So many problems > So little time

Message: Buicks are like Dodges you can't just go down to Pep Boys and buy a cart full of performance parts. It takes a bit of skill and time to build but boy what a nice sleeper they make.
