Subject: Lug pattern question IP: Logged
Message: I havea 98 dak with the 6lug bolt pattern. I have a friend with a toyota truck with 5 lug pattern. He has a set of 18's with low-profile tires that he wants to sell me for CHEAP. I was wondering if there was anything i can buy or get done to change my lug pattern to 5 lug or if i am just screwed and have to pass up the opportunity. thanks brandon

Message: You could remove all your lugs and have the flanges redrilled for thenew pattern. Expensive, a pain in the behind, often done incorrectly by the machine shop, and certainly not worth the effort.
Pass.

Message: yea depending on how good your deal is on the wheels from ur freind, but in the end it wouldnt be worth it unless, u got some wheel adapters, but im not sure if they make a 6 lug to a 5 lug coversion and that will cost u around another 300 - 400 bux.

Message: You'd be better off passing and getting some rims for your application.

Message: Check E-Bay, I had some adaptors made for a different application and they only cost me 120.00 bucks. There are quite a few people there that will custom make adaptors.
