Don't know about traction yet until i hit the track. It's been WORSE at the track in the past. And you see I lit them BOTH up something aweful in one of them test videos just hitting it from a stop!
1hotkadota, I am shooting for Friday night if they have open drags. I've been going bowling on Saturday nights. (Van Burn and Dysart). Don't you live down there?
BTW. Do you spell your name like that on purpose? Or just dislexic??? LOL!

I got kadota from John Candy in some movie where he plays a biker and steals a beer truck. His tatoo said "south kadota", he was pissed cuz it should have said "north kadota". Thats when he realized it said kadota.
Yeah dude, if you go friday let me know. I got .1 seconds faster last time I was at the track as opposed to the time before that so I wanna see if I can do better. But with the shape my truck is in I just wanna get below 16's.

So, what's wrong with your truck, as you say it's in "bad" shape?
Your girlfriend get jealous of it and break it for you???
I still can't figure out if it's actually going to be any faster in the 1/4 or not. I guess I'll have to go to the track. :p
I am HOPING to dip into the high 15's. Keep in mind that the Hemi Ram's and Titan's ran 16's at that track. I lost by minimal amounts but mostly on TOP end. Hope I make a come back!

Very cool vids, thought I was going to have my set-up tomorrow, looks like it won't be untill the 17th. Installation next Mon. Doubt mine will smoke like yours as I am on 33's but I have a 5-speed so maybe with some clutch abuse.

Hey dude.
It was 3.55 before. So 4.56 sounds like a huge jump, but with he 5-45RFE auto it really doesn't come close to screaming the RPM's. I can always drop it into 4LO if I want to do that. Which I haven't since the swap yet since the front still has 3.55's! No worry. I got them gears too. Just need to get around to doing them :)
J2, which track exactly is SIR?
I know of Firebird, on Maricop Rd. I've been there many times but never raced. And the one closer to me is SpeedWorld which is Grande Ave and Jomax/Happy Valley
Is SIR in Tuscon? If so it may be hard to get down there. I am bowling Saturday night. If you were closer during the day I'd be all for it.
Let me know exactly where it is though. An adress would work if you have one for them, as I'll just plug it in my compter and get directions myself...

I guess the performance gods were on my side today. First tracking said the 16th, but a day later the 17th. Well guess what was sitting at my front door today. Took everything to the installer to make sure everything was correct (it was). Install starts tomorrow, and as they might be doing a fullsize Ram as well, probably will spill into Friday.

I've got 3 O2 sensors out, my front passenger side suspension is screwed cuz my truck is .5" lower than the driver side. I don't know if the spring is shot or what. I had my upper ball joints replaced and a new shock but no change.
Anyway, this suspension problem is making my truck pull to the right pretty hard slowing me way the hell down. I'm also runnin slicks on all 4 tires.
But I'll probably get at least high 13's with my NOS stickers.

OMG 1hotkadota! I saw you only a few months ago!
What the he11 happened??? You take it off roading like I used to do? (Yours being 2WD)
5" lower. That is just CRAZY. I'd think a spring FAILED or something.
I'm not sure on how the 2WD rear is, but go check where your rear shackles bolt to the frame. Maybe one flipped to where it's sitting OVER the mount instead of below it. I've heard that happened on some vehicles after hitting a large bump!
If it's that. You could probably set it on jack stands and unbolt it to re mount it properly.

Man, I wish I could afford/do a gear swap! Even if I bought the parts, I don't think I want to mess with that myself. I have all the associated tools and am mechanically inclined but...ya know.
What kind of 1/8 mile times did you get last time at the track? My closest track is only an 1/8 and I was running very low 10's pretty consistantly...planning a SuperChips and maybe HO intake soon.

Actually, my truck has been in this shape since before you saw me the first time. I'm gonna get to fixin before long though.
My wife my raced truck last time I was at the track, I think she is hooked, so now even she is on my butt to get it fixed and runnin better. My truck has more speed in it but its being held back by the front suspension, O2 sensors, and a death flash. But she will live again!

Yeah. Get that sh*t fixed dude! I need to go see where mine sits now. For all I know in the 1/4 it may actually be no diff, extra shift and all. But in the 1/8 I'm sure it gained.
I HOPE to gain in the 1/4 as well though. INto the 15's I hope.
