I am trying to get some diff opinons on exhaust systems for my truck i have a 01 quad cab 4.7 auto, i like gibson and borla i have not been able to find a catback from borla but have heard it talked about, i dont wanna spend like some people do 500 some dollars just for a catback system so if any of u know of any good deals or have any suggestions they would be appreciated, id like to stay away from flowmasters though.

I recently went with a dual catback system
from Vortec (a cherry bomb configuration). I
now have a 4.7l that sounds like a 7l hemi
charged challenger. 360 bucks canadian incl
taxes and install (2hours) The viper racing tips
really set it off nicely

Whats wrong with Flowmaster? Is it not as expensive as you would like? The single 3" 50 series catback is $197 in Summit. It sounds great too. The performance is very comparable on all of the catback systems. I have heard that a single 3" mandrel bent cat back system gains more power for the 4.7 than any other system.

midas performance exhaust, it out flows flowmaster, has a lifetime warantee on the muffler, and is pretty reasonable.

Hey CyberWolf, I would love to get a flowmaster 3" system for my 00 4.7 Dakota Quad cab, but I don't see it in summit for the quad cab. You said it was there for $197....Where???? I have always used flowmaster for my mustangs and love them. Let me know where at in summit it is. For the QUAD CAB though. Thanks

$16.00 for ground shipping from Florida to New Hampshire. 4 or 5 days to get here.
System comes complete and bolts right up. You can easily do it yourself. I am told 9 or 10% horsepower gains which could equate to 22 HP. I was also told that depending on how your computer adjusts to this it could get you 1 to 5 more miles per gallon.
