Message: cuzindoug, I e-mailed the guy @ fiveomotorsport last week, and asked him about the 19# FMS injectors with the 4 hole spray pattern. He said the 19# only came in single hole and the 4 hole type were 22lb. I thought I read on other posts that there were 19# 4 hole injectors. I would like some for my '98, V6, 4X4. Would I be burning up more gas with the 22#?

Message: The injectors I received are PN 0280150909-E5TE which cross to a 19#, 4 hole, FMS Bosche injector. Which are blueprinted and matched for the 3.9, or so I am told.

I will also ask him if the 0280155909 f83e 19#, six hole will work for my application.
I will let you guys know what he says.

Zzark, sorry it took me so long. These injectors were removed from a salvaged mustang with 23k miles on it. They also are not manufactured anymore, but cross to my truck. Freebies are great:) By-the-way if you looked at my profile you can see what year my truck is:) But I'll be nice. 97, RC, 3.9, 2X4, manual.

Message: Cleaning your injectors will help. But often the cost of cleaning and testing is close to the cost of aftermarket ones.
New stockers may help some, but only if your current ones are drity or worn.
In general the aftermarket injectors have a more efficient spray pattern, in turn helping combustion. People have boasted MPG increases with new injectors.

Thanks for the info.
Which O-rings?
The new injectors should come with them, right?
Or are there other O-rings for the rail?
Thanks again,

I can't tell you off hand what size they are, but you need 2 for each injector(one for the fuel rail and one for the injector boss/housing) New injectors sometimes come with o-rings, but most of the time they don't...besides, they are only about $5.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
