Subject: TRUCK WON'T CRANK ON COLD MORNINGS? IP: Logged
Message:
Hello,
We purchased my brothers 1987 Dodge Dakato truck last winter. He failed to tell us the truck failed to start up in the morning when the temperatures were cold outside. So each morning the truck sat in the yard until the temperatures rose after lunch.
Something kept at me until I decided to try this:
I removed the battery cables and started cleaning each one of the computer harnesses underneath the hood and cleaned them throughly with rubbing alcohol and q-tips.
I found MOISTURE in one of the harnesses which led me to believe the moisture in the harness was freezing or to cold to make good contact and after *cleaning it out really GOOD the truck hasn't failed to crank every morning since then even on cold morning. To say the least, my brother now wants to buy the truck from me.
NO WAY !
Hope this helps someone !
God Bless

Message: If you want to add insult to injury, screw with him for a bit.
Whatever you paid him for it, add about $4k to that and say there is a Dakota collector who wants to buy it from you. Maybe that will teach him to sell you something under false pretenses.
