yes they have cams, which in turn move valve lifters that move pushrods which move rocker arms that move the valves. the cam is located in the middle of the engine right below the intake manifold.

wrong RX8, rotary engines have NO cams, valves, lifters or rockers. 2 moving parts, a rotor and the crank.
