Message: It's not exactly a drop/bolt-on/go sort of change, but it is not THAT hard. You'll just need to make sure you bolt up a tranny that is applicable to your engine, cut a hole in your floor board, and get a new drive shaft(basics). It is DEFINITELY not as hard as going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive...THAT is a B!TCH.

Message: You would also have to rig up a clutch some how. I saw a dakota at a car show one day that he had a clutch handle on a hurst shifter. Now that was pretty cool. But he also had to do some kinda of pressure boost so the handle was easy to press but I cant remember the details/

Message: Don't know what years are "genII", but if it has a transmission computer (TCU), it's gonna wonder where the tranny went.
