Message: i'm thinking about relocating the IAT sensor is this worth doing on my 5.2 98. will this cause future trumble down the road?

Message: It shouldn't really cause a problem. However I don't think it is really worth it.
So you relocate your sensor. It sees a little cooler air thus richening the fuel mix. (cooler, denser air plus added fuel means more HP) But, the air temp that's going into the motor is warmer than the computer thinks. So there it is dumping more fuel than it needs for the actual air temp. So what happens is you end up not burning all of the extra fuel and it ends up going out your exhaust, which in turn drains your wallet everytime you have to fill up.
I dunno, maybe someone out there has some dyno tested proof that this works. Personally I can't see it doing much for you.
