Message: i have a friend with a 1999 R/T. He has a k&n FIPK, superchip tuned, and something has been done with either the gears, or transmition because there is a speedometer adjuster thing on his truck, but he bought it used and doesnt know for sure. point is he has had the truck for 4 years but within the few weeks the engine has been reving by itself when he is driving. it happens frequently between 40 and 60 MPH. he took it to a mechanic friend, but the guy had no idea what is wrong. anyone else experienced this? he has recently had the plugs and wires changd, and had a profesional fuel incection cleaning done.

Message: Most likely the TPS (throttle position sensor), i had one go bad on my truck. Like a $40 part. Only takes 2 screws and unplugging the electrical clip and can be replaced. Have the dealer do it and it is like $80. Sits under the airhat on the side of that intake.

Message: How do you mean revving? Is it lurching at speed (like you are pushing on and leaving off the gas) or is the engine itself boosting RPM's (as if you were coasting in neutral and revved the engine)?
