Craig, I agree totally. I didn't know that about the SRT-4's though, that is pretty odd.. I was actually thinking of keeping my old Taco and buying an SXT as my work car and keeping the Taco for winter time, but then I realized what I was thinking of doing... LOL..... SSOOOO glad I went with trading in the taco for my Dak. Can't wait till tomorrow when I change out my spark plugs, change the oil (mobil 1 syn. w/mobil 1 filter), and I'm going to try to make my very first homebrew intake..... we'll see.......

I was getting about 18mpg average mixed driving with my '02 CC 4x4 Dakota with H.O. Cams, MBRP Split duals, homebrew CAI, 180 degree thermostat, Jet Stage 2 on 91 octane. With my SRT4 it all depends on how I drive. Driving the same as I was with the Dakota I can get 28-32mpg all day long. Messing around and getting the car in boost all the time I get about 22mpg. Its that drastic of a change with these cars. Also, no mufflers on this Viper in a diaper.

Just read in today's paper that the last Neon will roll off the assembly line this year. It will be replaced by the Dodge Caliper.

Yes, I hate when wanna be ricers talk crap.
I was in a chinese restaurant the other day and this young kid waiter came over with my plate of food. He brought me white rice when I ordered shrimp fried rice. He started yelling "you orda white lice, not shlimp flied lice you idiot!"
He really pissed me off. He doesn't even know how to rice.

Hmm... okay then.... anyhow, I wonder if Dodge will do with the "caliper" what chevy did when they replaced the Cavilack with the Cobalt and completely change the sheet metal design... Probably make the front end look like one of these new gawd-awful '05 dakotas! I'm all for change, but after what they have done with the new Dakotas, I'm afraid to see what'll happen to the neon.........

OMG..I'm still laughing at the post from RiceH8r..too funny.
Dunno EMT. I'm gonna call my dad this weekend and see if he knows anything. Being retired from Chrysler, he still may be in the loop. I'm surprised they are discontinuing the Neon; I thought it was still selling well.
When these gas prices went up, I almost thought about trading the Dak in for a Neon. ALMOST!!! but I wised up. I need the truck.

LOL, none of them have the neon SRT-4. all running bottom of the line focuses with big stickers on the side, and nissan altimas.

I recently bought a 96 Nissan 240SX to serve as a daily commuting vehicle and to take to the road courses now and then to play around with. I swear, if one more jagoff with a fartcannon, stickers, and crappy ground effects on his Civic pulls up next to me trying to race, I'm gonna lose it. I even went so far as to let the one idiot know about an upcoming hot lap exhibition at a local track. He said he didn't "race like that, just around on the street". Nice!!!! I can't wait til he races across in front of me in the DAK ... one less Civic to worry about.

I just smoked a Civic with the big a$$ mufler today. He was all stickered up with a huge JCWhitney but wait there's more size wing bolted on. The sad parts are that the wing was off center, and I did it with an '87 BMW I paid $1000 bucks for. He followed me to the store and a young Army private stepped out. I asked him how much he spent to make his car so slow. Needless to say, he was kind of speechless!!

Speaking of off center, today I saw an Echo, Toyota I think, with the trunk emblem and lettering off center to the right about 3", nice quality control at that plant! Everyones allways raving about Jap quality, if they can't even get the emblem straight what else is wrong???

Well, so much for my dad's sxt.... he kinda drove over/through a downed oak tree this morning on his way to work..... tore the hell out of it..... sure was a nice little car, but oh well, he's now thinking about buying a dakota after he rode in my a couple times.. hehe. better off, at least then he could have just drove up over the tree instead of smashing into it....
