Subject: Dynomax Ultaflow IP: Logged
Message: I know this subject has been beat to death already on here, but here goes anyway. I just had a DynoMax Ultraflow SS on my '00 Dak QC 4.7. Kept stock pipes and just cut out the factory muffler, cut an extension pipe and clamped in the Dynomax muffler. I'll tell you, regardless of everything I read on here about it (for the most part) I LOVE this muffler! Has a nice tone to it at idle and up to around 3300 rpms. Nice and loud when you punch it, didn't lose ANY low end (gained a little top end actually), and when driving down the road or highway, rolled up the windows, turned off the stereo, and could BARELY notice any difference from the stock muffler (which is why I didn't go with the flowmaster 40 series) No offense to anyone that has one, but I rode in a dak with same setup as mine with the flowmaster, and there was just a LITTLE too much drone in the cab considering I drive the truck about 4-500 miles a week. Anyway, just my 2 cents. LATER!

Message: prple, did you see any increase in mpg at all? I haven't been able to tell yet... still have that "new sound" right foot. Just can't seem to get my foot to NOT press all the way down at about every stop yet! hehe
