Message: I would imagine that you would get more from the venom chip. As far as exhaust I would just put a good flowing muffler on it.

Message: On an otherwise stock truck, changing the exhaust to headers and true duals will provide a small power improvement. The key word is small. And it's very expensive. It requires a lot of work, and unless you spend the bux on really good headers, Grade8 bolts, and quality gaskets, they will be labor intensive over the years. Gasket blow outs, leaks, and burnt wires are common with the cheaper parts.
OTOH, a computer reprogram is 1/2-1/3 the cost, provides at least as much power improvement and probably more, takes all of 10 minutes - including reading the instructions - is easily reversable, may improve fuel mileage, and generally improves drivability.
Sounds like a no-brainer to me :)
