Subject: How to Exhaust Single or Dual IP: Logged
Message: Basically, I want to upgrade the exhaust on my 92 Dakota I have a 5.2L engine. I want to leave the stock exhaust manifolds. My truck is used for a daily driver. I was thinking of adding a Flowmaster high muffler and a larger exhaust system. I want to do this myself if possible. For a single exhaust, what size of exhaust pipe should I use? I figure this would be easier and cost less than putting in duals?
Thanks,

Message: Just my 2cents.I would go with a magnaflow stainless(14218) 2.5 inlet and a duel 2.5 outlet with 3in tips.Got mine on E-Bay for 69$.The flowmaster muffler is more for hipo engines.I think the flowmaster sound better 2,I have had both.Got mine done at a local muffler shop.I would check out a local shop and tell them you have a muffler that needs installed from the cat back, most shops will custom bend 1 for you.I paid about 150 for the install.Hope this helps.
