What? I'd install two NEW cats as close to the manifolds as possible. Not worth leaving them off for virtually un detectable improvements.

If it wasn't for needing two new cats, I'd have done my duals by now. I'm just waiting to fond two high flow OBDII cats for a good price.

Well I know the stock cats on the 4.7Ls that come right off of each side from the mannifold are pretty high flow to begin with lots of dodge dtech guys say that this is now sort of a universal cat for better exhale and emmisssions.

Those two cats are part of the y-pipe? They're welded to the pipe?

well just to answer one of your questions about passing emissions, no you wont and if they are pricks about it you can be fined up to a $10,000 by the EPA for not having cats

I heard that there could be a O2 sensor issue with running true duals. Any truth to this? How would you overcome this?

I'm running true duals, no cats, Fastman o2 sims, 4.7L, no problems.
But then I live in FL, now emissions testing.

Dont do true duals you will lose HP with the 4.7, a single 3" from the Y back ie the best setup for performance. Do your duals if you want to just sit there and rev up your DOG but pesonally id rather have the power.

All the hardcore 4.7 guys know that true duals work wonders. Many people usually gain about 3 tenths in the quarter on a N/A engine.

dewey, if you would have someone build you some long tube headers and a dual 3" exhaust, you would have more than 348 rwhp guarenteed. I would guess your engine isn't N/A. But if it is, then you'd gain even more with good headers and duals.
