I have a 2002 dak with a supercharged 4,7 at 9Psi(Paxton novi 1000)
When I accelerate my Egt guages go really high! I can reach easyly 1600F. My air/fuel ratio was good and everything seem to be correct.
One of my friend have said to me that a piston melt at 1475F. So I can't really enjoy the power of it because I try to stay under 1350F
I'll try to install a fuel pressure guage to know if my fuel pump was good. And after that a wide band Air-fuel.
But before I really want to know what is the max temp I can go on my EGT. I've looked at autometer and it was installer correctly( at 3-4 inch from the cylinder head in my header (cylinder#3))
What should I look for?

Boy. That sure would spool a turbo tho :p
Maybe some programming could change that as well? Let us know how it goes.

My exaust was a Borla Catback 3" with stock Ypipe
