 Subject: 2.5l exhaust piping...size?

i am gonna get a new dual rear exit exhaust custom done at an exhaust shop. my question is what size piping should i get since its a 2.5L?
2", 2 1/4", or 2 1/2" since its a dual rear exit setup i was thinking maybe 2 1/4". any suggestions or ideas.

What size is your inlet to the muffler? Anything will probably be large enough. Most single in dual outs are only as efficient as the inlet size so it becomes a visual preferance.

thanks for the reply i think it might be a 2 1/2 in and out although it is a single in single out muffler so i was planning on using a splitter pipe or a Y- pipe.
