Message: J2, any supercharger made for one R/T should work on them all. Many websites don't do a good job of updating applications.
I don't know what you mean by "a powerful supercharger." You've already set the limit at 8-10 lbs. and most any supercharger will make that with no problem. Maybe you meant the highest quality.

Message: I just saw a show on TRUCKS and they were putting a supercharger in an R/T. I think it was a superdyne or something like that. Hope that helps any.

Message: Powerdyne, Vortech, ATI, Kenne Bell, Paxton all make superchargers for the Magnum engines. They frequently don't list them as for the newer trucks due to pinging. There is nothing different in the mounts to the engine. The newer engines require some form of timing control in order to control pinging at higher boost levels. The MSD BTM ignition is one solution. This generally adds another $400 to the price of a kit, and it does require some time spent on tuning to get the right retard levels. That is one of the reasons why some of the s/c manufacturers do not list them as fitting trucks newer than 2000 or so. Others are just lazy and don't update their literature.

I put a Procharger on my 5.2. The 5.2 and 5.9 are the same kit.
I think you get a better supercahrger if you go with procharger, but thats just an opinion.
The procharger is a centrifigul type. If you want a roots type, you may want the Kenne Bell.
There is lots of information on all of these systems. Make sure you do your research first so that you get exactly what you want.
If you didn't find your specific application, call the manufacturer or supplier. If you couldn't find information, then you didnt look hard enough cause its all over the place.

Message: There are 5 supercharger brands for our trucks - Paxton, Vortech, ATI, Kenne Bell, and Powerdyne.
Although Powerdynes are relatively inexpensive, many people who owned them reported belt issues and eventually sold them and stepped up to other models.
Kenne Bell's head unit isn't too bad but people reported the tuning was more difficult than the other models.
ATI comes with an intercooler, but it sits way down at the bottom of the truck.
Vortech and Paxton are now part of the same company, but most people who are trying to maximize power are going with the Paxton Novi 2000, it flows the most of the units and currently has the most tuning options.
