Subject: I just developed... IP: Logged
Message: some god awful squeaks. It is a bit ironic that they started at exactly 60,000 miles, but oh well. They started this week while we were in Austria, & only got worse as the week progressed. I know that some of you have already flicked this booger & would like some suggestions (i.e., polyeurathane vs rubber, correct lube, etc.). I'm leaning toward a complete poly set for the front end due to the speeds & driving style over here (normally cruise @ 100-105 mph), but don't want anything too harsh. Any suggestions anyone has would help.

Message: Most likely the sway bar end bushings. Very common, and very easy to fix. Remove the bushings from the bar and clean them with something like Simple Green. Also clean the ends of the bars.
Grease the bushings inside and out with Mobile 1 synthetic wheel bearing grease (it lasts the longest) and re-assemble.

Message: C'mon guys. Give me some ammunition to upgrade with polyeurathane. My financial advisor (wifey) puts a lot of stock in the information some of you guys put out (as do I). Whats a good brand to go with?

Message: Oh yeah, Demon. Thanks for the advice, but it is definitely suspension related (checked the brakes this afternoon; the pads need replaced).

Message: Go with the poly, I have them on my 01 QC and not only are they quieter, but they also stop some of the sideway jump on bumpy bends.
Only complaint on them is the fact that they aren't tight enough on the bar - but I can fix that.
