I have this '00 Dak, 4.7,4x4,auto, and I LOVE this thing! BUT.... Even though I just got it 3 day's ago, I am already thinking of mods, first on my list? A new exhaust. I was thinking of just getting a Flowemaster 40 series muffler, and having my local shop bend the pipes from the cat back, that way I save some money instead of buying an entire cat-back system. I want something that's not going to be too loud, but have a deep, throaty sound, and also not hurt my performance/economy (what economy there is). Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! By the way, GraphiteDak, I love your website. Those video's of you in your dak were part of my deciding factor on what truck to buy!

Exhaust mods are a pretty common discussion topic around here. If you do a search you'll find about an hours worth of reading material. Very informative.
BTW, do you know Johnny and Roy? Can I get their autographs? ;)

Cool. Glad to hear my pix, sound clips, and videos have come to some good use :)
I love the Flowmaster 40 sound.
I will do duals and am thinking of running cheap ol' glass packs with full tail pipes to see how they sound on a 4.7 rapping out to 6500 RPM's.
And if I don't like that. I'll be sure and throw a few Flowmaster 40's back on!

That's gonna be pretty loud dude. From those sound clips you have with the flowmaster it sounds pretty da*n good. Let us know what comes of the dual's and whatever else you decide to do to it! :o)

.boB, no I don't know them :o) Actually, I am an EMT and one the Squad truck at the fire department is 51 so... hehe, works both ways!
