Message: I need to replace my front and rear rotors. I swear by Brembo for my mustang, but I can't find any for the 03 Dakota. I guess they only made them up until 2002.
What is everyone running on their Daks? I don't need any of that cross-drilled BS, I just want quality rotors and pads.

Message: I looked a set of Raybestos rotors for my 03 from rockauto.com, but since the rotors weren't warped I just scuffed the rotors and replaced the pads. The front pads were squeeling intermittantly and the rear brakes were groaning while backing up. I used Wagner ThermoQuiet Pads and haven't heard a peep out of the brakes since replacing the pads front and rear. The front and rear pads cost about $80, but well worth it since they don't make any noise.
Better hold on when you look at the price for 03 front and rear rotors, the fronts are $60-70 and the rears are $40-50. I almost crapped,,, OEM front rotors for my 00 CC were about $25 and Raybestos drilled and slotted rotors for the 00 were $80.
Have you tried turning the rotors yet? I have 50K on my 03 and tow about 2-3K a year, brake rotors are still in good condition, though the OEM pads went bad about 5K ago. There was still plenty of meat left on the pads, but they were noisy as he11.

I installed powerslots (non-drilled) on the front with factory pads. Works awesome! Very slight brake squeak when dirty. (Normal)
