What are the differences in the 5.2 and 5.9 Magnum heads? Will the 5.9 heads work on a 5.2? What kinds of mods will I need to make.

I found an old post on here that said the 5.2 magnum and 5.9 magnum heads are identical. Is this true?

They are the same. No difference at all. The Mopar R/T heads are different and make more power. These are not to be confused with the heads on a Dak RT. Those are no different than any other magnum v8.

The heads are essentially identical, but, ironically, the 5.2's have ever-so-slightly larger valves. For the 5.2, intake is 1.916 inches, exhaust is 1.624 inches. For the 5.9, they are the same size they've been since the first Mopar 360's from the 70's...intake is 1.88 inches, exhaust is 1.617 inches. Go figure.
