Message: Hey, Anyone out there? I need help! I have a 91 silverado 5.7 with TBI. For the past couple of months I have had symptoms that all pointed to my TPS. I had issues with my idol at a stop light where the truck wanted to die but would not come to that. However, in the past few weeks when I put it in reverse it would in fact die on me or get VERY close to dying. And then yesterday I was driving on the freeway at about 65 and it died! I haven't been able to start it since. I have replaced my TPS and nothing! I have checked for cracks in my Map's hose and other hoses and can't find any. If anyone has any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Message: Hi, I have a 1999 Volvo and it starts but idles rough and shuts down when I hit the gas. It responds on initial ignition to acceleration but after about two 3 seconds- it goes down to very low idling and responds very little to throttle and too much throttle makes it shut down. It eventually stays on after several tries but idles rough and shuts down if throttle is hit too hard and responds to very little throttle sometimes.

| Poor shifting from 2nd to 3rd IP: Logged
Message: Hi, I have a 1998 Dodge dakota 3.9L, V6, 2WD. The truck shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, but I have to take my foot off the pedal for it to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Then it generally shifts good from 3rd to 4th. Could this be a TPS problem...or something else?

Message: Hey guys!
I am at a loss. My car shutters and jerks extremely hard
when at hwy speeds. The idle goes up and down very
erraticly as well. I have a 2000 mitsubishi galant 2.4l. I know
that this is a dakota forum but when I got the new idle air
control for my car, my cousin ended up buying the same
exact one for his 1999 dakota. I thought that maybe you
guys could help shed a little light on my issues. At first I
thought it could be fuel injectors but I've checked and
they've been replaced. I also had a mechanic do my ignition
coils and fuel pump. I always had an issue with the gas
gauge and I would have run out of gas at 1/4 of a tank. Well
since the fuel pump was replaced, I know run out of gas at
about 1/2 a tank. I Also! I had the car up on a jack changing
the brakes and then hear clicking that kinda sounded like
rubbing live wires together and I start looking on top and I
put my hand on this metal disc on the top and my dad said
that was the tps. So I know its electric computerized but I
don't know what will make it do that clicking. I just actually
really want to solve the jerking backwards when driving at
hwy speeds and jerking backwards when quickly acclerating.
PLEASE help!

Message: Hey guys just recently bought a 1999 dodge Dakota 3.9L v6 slt
4x4. When I went to start it this morning it wouldn’t crank over
the only way to start it is if I have my foot all the way down on
the gas pedal. Any ideas?
