Installing a Mopar cam (P4120233 - 292 degree -.509" lift cam) in an 85 360 block. I have about .100" valve lash clearance when the rocker shafts are tightened up. Anybody ever run into this, and if so, what's the fix. There are no notes that I can find about any special parts required to install this cam - and I have never had this problem before... any ideas?

If any one cares to file this away in the memory banks, here is the conclusion after hours of hair pulling and measuring.

The base circle of the cam is at the min of spec, and it happens that my
block is at the max end of the spec. (I.e. cam location is a bit on the deep
side in the block. That leaves me with no other choice but ot go with a
mechanical rocker setup.

I called Mopar on it and I knew more than their tech guys -- tht was
frustrating. I called Jegs and they knew exaclty what I was talking about.
I guess this isn't uncommon with high lift cams, but for as many as I have
installed, it is the first time I've ever run into it. Always learning
something!

Anyway, I ordered a Crane adjustable rocker setup for it. The parts are to
be here tomorrow. Have my first car show & cruise of the year at 6pm
tomorrow night. I have the engine buttoned back up except for the intake.
I will be plumbing the NOS fogger system in the morning before re-installing
that. If my plan works, I shoudl wrap that up about the time Fed Ex gets
here. Then by about 2:00 it should be rolling again
