Message: ok heres the low down- i took my friends advice and drew a line the length of the drive shaft in white paint and have been driving my truck with new motor and trans for about 3 months only been to the track 4 times-any way i was under the truck this afternoon and noticed that the line i painted is now twisted quite severly, now what is the power limit on a stock drive shaft? and im making near 620hp on a small block 318 with a 200 shot and 600 ftlbs of torque would this be enough to require a aluminum or carbonfiber driveshaft?

Message: You certainly need stronger Ujoints and a stronger driveshaft. You could use either alum, carbon fiber, or steel - all have their advantages.
