Message: Hey Guys,
I am considering buying the Superchips 3715 posted on e-bay from Casanova.
I have seen the posts on the Group Buy forum, and it looks as if you guys got what you wanted - one way or another.
The big draw for me is the $110 instant rebate for the tuner.
My question is: Is this on the up-and-up?
Thanks,
Chip

Message: I (and many others) bought one from him through a group buy setup on this board a couple of months ago. The price was very near what you are considering. I paid $269 shipped.
I had no problems with going through him. Some folks complained a little because of slow shipping, but that could have been because he was swamped with more orders than he anticipated and had to get more units from Superchips to fullfil the orders.
If I had the $$$ to spare I'd buy another one from him at that price.

Message: Got my tuner today and plugged it in!
Stomped on the gas and burned out for 7 seconds! Much faster!!!
My truck would not burn out the other day.
Tomorrow I'll return to normal driving and see what it did to the mileage.
Very happy!

Message: Simple upgrade, huh?
I've only ran through one full tank of 91 octane on the Performance program and the MPG was 17.55 - the upper end of the (hi/lo) range when running with 87 octane and the stock program. I'm on my second tank.
No burnouts, but the occasional romp to 5000+ getting on the freeway. I'm pleased so far. But sometimes I think I hear a little pinging around 4000RPM under moderate acceleration. I'm trying to isolate this.
Towing my 5000# parchute on the towing program and 91 octane gave me 1MPG better than with 87 octane and stock program. I know the engine was making more power because I didn't have to keep the throttle burried in the floorboard. The increase in MPG is a bonus.

Message: The e-mail address is: superchips@gmail.com
You can buy the part on Ebay. Do a search for "superchips" or "casanova".
