the 0 - 60 time for a 1997 Club Cab 4x4 Dakota Sport with an automatic transmission is listed as a 9.1, and the 1/4 time a 17.1.

A 1992 Dodge Spirit ES lists at a 11 sec 0 - 60, and a 17.9 1/4 time.

I used to own a spirit, with a V6, I wouldn't think a Dakota was that close to that, times wise, even though there is a 2 second differance in the 0 - 60, there is only like a .8 differance in the 1/4 time.

My brother had a 2001 Dakota Sport Club Cab 4x4 Blue, with a 4.7, manual, and he passed me when I was going about 60, and I had my foot on the floor, I couldn't touch him, not even in the 1/4.

I own that truck now, and I know that that dakota is alot quicker than a 9.1 / 17.1

I am beginning to believe it is closer to a 7.5 0 - 60, and a 15.7 or so 1/4 time.

does that sound about right?

and it is also modded a bit, with HO cams, Air Intake, Throttle Body, Flowmaster Exaust and Headers.

I plan to take it to the track, but were I am they don't do the 1/4 anymore, just the 1/8,

any thoughts?

any Ideas?

about a second quicker if manual, and about a half a second or so for those mods?

how can a go about knowing my 0 - 60,

and 1/4 without going to the track?

Get a G-Tech, or borrow one from a friend.
You can get a pretty good idea of your 1/4mi time from the 1/8mi figs, just can't remember the formula right now, maybe someone else can?

You are comparing two different trucks with two different engines. The 01 is definatly going to be faster considering its a manual and a modded 4.7 vs a stock auto 5.2.
