Hey guy. Before you spend your money on cams, I jsut got off the phone with the guys at thefastman.com. He said he can do the 212 cams for $600. I just spent $749 at KRCperformance.com. He also said he can port heads cheaper and his TB's are only $180. I just got mine in yesterday and it is really nice. You cannot beat thefastman.com's prices. He does not list all his stuff on line because he is so busy. I don't know if his products are better than KRCperformance or other sites but being cheaper than anyone else it is sure worth the time to look into it.

I know 212's aren't HO cams,
BUT,
In 2002, I got my HO cams, new, from a dealer in Rhode Is., for $112 US, shipped! FOR BOTH cams,
$53 each, plus some shipping! Installed for free. Wow the price of performace has gone up.
That's an installed price, right?

No that is just the price of cams! Installation is on you. I looks like a relatively easy job to do yourself. The 212's are supposed to really wake your truck up. I wonder what the before and after numbers are. KRCperformance says they have a club cab 4x4 with a 70tb and exhaust and 212's and ran low 13's! I would like to see that.

So your saying a truck weighing over 4000 lbs will smoke a C5 Corvette with just a TB, exhaust and 212 cams. That would put the truck from the stock 235 horsepower to somewhere around 400+. Not with cams. Maybe with cams and a blower, but not just cams.

This is from the KRCperformance page. I didn't write it they did. Read it for yourself! I this maybe they have exaggerated their numbers like they have exaggerated their price. Just a thought.
