I was wondering , i want to run a comp cam with an advertiesed lift in the 480(low) range , with a 1:7 to 1 rocker arm. what's the chances of me smashing up a valve into the piston???

You'll be awfully close retainer/valve guide problems there unless you've had the guides cut down. It'll most likely hit there before you smash a valve.
