Subject: 4.7 superchip question/concern IP: Logged
Message: I guess I could read a couple of hundred posts and maybe find the answers to my questions/concerns but I don't have that much time in my life...LOL
I have a 00 QC 4x4 4.7 and purchesed a super chip. On the performance setting, when I get on it hard, the O/D off (overdrive) light comes on and stays on untill I turn the ignition off and then back on. It is working fine, but the light stays on even if it is in overdrive??
Also, SOMETIMES it will not bump down in to a lower gear when I punch it. Examples are: When I'm doing 20-25mph in 2nd gear and I stab it, SOMETIMES (sometimes it does other times not) it will not bump down in to 1st. It will just accelerate in 2nd gear at a low RPM?? The sane will happen at high speeds as well. When I'm doing 45 or so and I step on it SOMETIMES it will not down shift in to 2nd??
Anyone else seen this?

Message: Bummer.
Try doing the TPS mod and see if that helps. Maybe your factory setting is low. Raising it up to about .75VDC at idle (if I'm remembering right) will make it more responsive and downshift easier.
