Message: Hey. How many MILES for a break in do you think are on a BRAND NEW vehicle? And who actually breaks in a new car???
Not me.
I usually baby it on a nice long drive up the highway and through the mountains (which I usually do with a new vehicle anyway)
and that's enough to more or less break in cams, etc. then it's balls to the wall till it blows the fukk up!
Like DSW said, real engine builders only baby them at the very beginning to break it. Probably long enough to let it run and rev it up in the driveway/shop. Then they romp the pig!
