Subject: Superchips 3715 5.9 r/t IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys quick & rather stupid question here,... I am selling my R/T and I took the superchips software off "the truck is stock again" so now I should be able to sell the superchips programer and the new buyer can get the performance gains from the unit right? An ebay looker asked if it was "VIN Cleared" I dont know exactly what that means but the high performace programing is back in the unit and the truck is stock so I'm guessing it's "VIN Cleared" is this right? I dont want to screw anyone over.
Thanks, Steve

Message: What you did was return the unit to an uninstalled configuration. The tuner can now be applied to another vehicle. You can sell it without worrying.
The sale reason wouldn't happen to be gas price related, would it?

Message: Yep gas is exactly why the truck is going up for sale - when I bought the thing gas was $1.60 a gallon, I'm not going to keep putting 91 or 93 octane in the truck so I can get 13mpg. With the software gone maybe Ill get like 15 - it has k&n cold air intake and flowmaster exaust so it might.
