Has anyone purchased a OEM pcv value (4.7) and if so, where did you get it? I bought an OEM pcv vale from Pep Boys and it did not work (missing tab that holds pcv value in place).

I own a Dodge Dakota and a Dodge Stratus. My '97 Stratus has 32,000 miles on it. The maintenance chart says it's recommended I change the pvc valve at 30,000 miles. The car is running great. What is your advice? Can I put it off awhile. My dealer says the cost with air filter is between $75 and $100. Does anyone have an opinion? Thanks much.

Did a quick search for you at autozone.com. I punched in a 97 stratus with a 4 cylinder (6 would be similar) and the pcv valve is $2.49 and air filter is $7.99. They are raping you with labor if they seriously told you $75 to $100.

If you don't want to do it your self. A lot of the oil change places do pcv valves and air filters. (Jiffy Lube, Valvoline...) It's been a while since i've been to one, but they use to charge double for the parts (7 dollars for a 3 dollar pcv valve, 10 or 15 for a 7 dollar air filter) You'll probably pay 20 or 30 dollars, if that much.
