Anyone know exactly what the differences between the high octane performance setting and the high octane performance towing setting are. I guess the 87 octane setting doesn't do much, except help milage a little bit. Got my tuner coming tuesday, tank is already full of 91 octane (highest I can get here) BTW I have a 01 cc 4x4 5-speed Rancho lifted on 285/75/16 MTs with stock 3:55 gears. My only "performance" mods are a catback and CAI. Hopefully this summer I will be doing the HO cams and somewhere down the road 4:10s

I am not positive on the differences but I have tried both settings and noticed what seemed like a bit more low-end torgue on the "Towing/Performance" program than I did with the "Performance Only" program. I also noticed my gas guage get worked a bit more too. FYI - I tried the different settings with my truck loaded down with about 400lbs of coolers and burners.

I would like to see SC program in some kind of an "AC cutoff at WOT" just in case some ricer decides to wanna play while I am cruising in the Florida Sun with the windows up and the AC on.

I got my superchip about 2wks.ago. Had to sent it back to SC for a update. Got it back in a wk. but had to sent it back again for same problem. Still waiting for it to come back. Hope it will work this time.

Thanks for the reply Izzy. That is what I was thinking or at least hoping for. Although I don't tow very often, I was wanting a little more on the low end to help turn these tires in stop and go driving and off-road. I don't worry too much about the ricers with a lifted 4x4, although I love to let them hear a real exhaust(m.b.r.p.) compared to their fart can crap. Get my tuner tomorrow, I'll report back.

I have a buddy with an old '64 Ford "rump truck" 4x4 truck with a 351 cleveland in it. He ran his dual exhaust (with home made hollow glass packs) to the back of the truck and into his rear 10" tube bumper with open ends.
To pull up next to the rear of his truck is a biiiigggggg mistake as you almost go deaf when he lays into it and it blows the exhaust and the sound out the sides of his bumper instead of straight out the back.
