hey yall i cant decide which way to go as far as intake and need some suggestions, i want the most hp increase but dont wanna pay tons. does anyone know if a true flow hood is the worth the price of $1000 for the hp gains that you get? here are my options:
1.FIPK K&N INTAKE SYSTEM - $295
2.VOLANT INTAKE SYSTEM - $295
3.AIRAID INTAKE SYSTEM - $240
4.360AIR INTAKE SYSTEM - $150 FROM A GROUPBUY
5.TRUE FLOW HOOD W/INTAKE FOR AROUND - $1000

wow no one has replied yet

those prices are all insanely high for a simple tube for air to go through

you didn't mention what year/engine dak you have, personally i'd make my own tube with 3" PVC for $5, mine has held up great for years, but if you got money to blow....

buying a hood just to ram air in there is ok but you aren't going to start winning races with just that...

yeah, it'll take more than an intake to boost power noticably, but the intake is the best place to start. I went with the K&N, through a dealer I was working for that sold K&N, got it at wholesale price, at 240. great set up and looks great too. I had mine painted in that chamelion paint, so from the left it looks blue, from the front it appears purple, and from the right it looks green, and added the jeep "V8 5.9" emblem to the top. looks great, but only seen with hood up... it basically boils down to the fact of how much you're willing to spend, and how much hp you want to gain. "HP costs money"

this is a mass produced truck not a nascar vehicle it ain't gonna do that much
