They are all seperate parts. The gear set is simply the ring gear and pinion gear/shaft.

You can buy all the parts seperately or just buy them all pre-assembled. You can save yourself some work just getting the whole pumpkin with the gears and LSD already together. A freind of mine just did this. He paid $500 at a Mopar show, which was a damn good deal.

No, doersn't work that way. The corporate axles do not have a removable carrier like a Ford 8" or 9". You have to install the parts in to the axle/differential housing, just like an 8.8" Ford. You have to buy all the parts, and then install them.

On that same note, to install ring and pinion gears, you have to know what you're doing, and you need a few special tools. If you do it wrong, you'll kill the gears and have to start all over. I've rebuilt and built many cars over the years. But I take differential work to a pro.

yeah, boB
i'm unclear on your post sorry, did you say i can't buy the whole pumpkin and switch them out or were you talking about something else.

i talked to a shop and they said that the best thing to do would be to get one off a wrecked truck at a junkyard and that they could put it on for me. that being the whole rear axle, etc...
