Message: ive been thinkin about putting a transgo shift kit in my dak and i was hoping to get some feedback from those of you who have them in your trucks.
my main question is about the shift 'firmness'. is it whiplash firm, or what.
is it worth putting in?

Message: I put one in my 93 and 2nd gear would leave 5 ft. blackmarks. Loved the look on the face of rustang and crapmaro drivers when I hit 2nd right beside them. 3rd. gear was firm but at 75 mph there was no bark I could hear.
They do have different levels of shift kits so you can pick which one suits you best. I had the stage 2.
It's deffintely worth putting in even if you just go with the stage 1 kit. It also makes your trans. last longer. Now tires life is a different story.

Message: I debated one of these years ago and always ran across two opinions on them.
1 - they are good on new transmissions
2- if you put it in a transmission with some mileage on it, you are going to start wearing down/finding out what the weak link in your tranny is by breaking it faster.
